Dr. Ryan Mitchell
Ryan Mitchell, Ph.D., Chief Analytics Officer / Co-Founder, received his B.Sc. Honours in Microbiology and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. His research, conducted at the Manitoba Institute of Child Health, focused on investigating metabolism and uptake of essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) into neurological tissues for the purpose of improving overall brain function and potential treatment for a number of neurological diseases, including Alzheimer's and depression. He has over 10 years in laboratory and analytical experience including two post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Manitoba in the Department of Human Nutritional Sciences. He has been awarded with various studentships and awards at the provincial (Manitoba Health Research Council) and local level (Health Sciences Centre Foundation, University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship, Dr. Ian R. Innes Memorial Award). He has presented his work at national and international conferences and has published in a number of peer-reviewed journals.
