What is a physical assessment?

A physical assessment is designed to assess an individual's current health status so that a determination of fitness for duty may be obtained. Physical assessments are used to align an individual's physical capabilities with job demands in order to minimize the risk of injury.

How is a physical assessment conducted?

Our medical professionals start with a comprehensive review of health history, followed by a head to toe physical examination of organ systems and functional mobility. Once completed, further medical consultation is obtained where necessary in order to provide employers with recommendations regarding an employee's fitness for duty.
